RUIJUN: "MY BIRD DIED"
hahahahah... i bet you people think this is a really weird statement. Ruijun didn't explain it in her blog..so i'll explain it.
you see right, on thursday was our performance. my first one in fact. was scary mann..before we went up. so, the first piece was this peranakan song called "Burong Kakak Tua" and Burong means bird. so during practices, mrs aw was saying that the first few notes must be strong..like a healthy bird. hahah. mine was one of the first few notes, and during prac i always played it wrong. but luckily ah, i played it correctly for the performance. budden the others wern't so lucky. krystle picked up the wrong note, so she played it wrongly lah. then ruijun, who was the note before me.. somehow she din play it. it was just - silence. hahah. so after that she was so upset and she kept on saying that her bird died, and she had no bird. hahah, and then this yunjing and jane was so bad, they told ruijun stop trying to prove she was a girl. hahahah. so mean right. anyways that day passed really fast.....
prac suppose to start at 1130, and nearly the whole choir was suppose to meet at kap for lunch at 1030. LUNCH you know. crazy right?? anyway, you know how nearly the whole choir ended up going?? cus it was really priscilla's idea. she asked me to go with her, and to ask monica too as she was at ltc. so i said okayy and whether we could ask petrina too. so iasked petrina and she said how bout ruijun too, cus ruijun was at ltc too. just then, crazy jin hui came up and heard that we were going and she said she also want to go. so i went back to priscilla and told her who was going. she also said that yunjing may be going. then priscilla said aiya, might as well ask the whole choir. hahah. so that's how we ended up going.
so we had lunch and then we ended half an hour later. so practice started at 12pm. before that we went to coldstorage to buy our "survivour kit" or so monica calls it... which is basically food. yepp, we are one hungry choir ok.... we eat alot one.then we had prac at until around three. then we had to polish the bells. the polish was so stinky okayy.ugh.priscilla kept on saying pass the cream and the sec3s will yell at her saying it is polish, not cream. hahah. then after that we had to go off to marina mandrin. wow they renovated it okay. so nice now. look like the changi village resort.. which practically ROCKED. anyway, the stage was too small and there was a lot of inconveinece for us and stuff.. to lazy to type. but anyway, we managed to cut down on 2tables. amazing right?? 2 tables leh. and then the rehersal (whatever you spell it) was quite terrible. they kept on spraying that horrible smoke thingy, which STINKED lah. *choke* and they kept on shining the spot lights on us... cannot see mrs aw lah. for yankee doodle i went too fast cos i couln't see her. then suddenly her head like poped out of the mist, looking at me. hahah. it was quite scary. then we had dinner. it was okay lar. at the cafeteria for the hotel workers. it was quite nicely designed.. after all, it is a..um.. how many star hotel???
okay im getting lazier by the minute and i don't feel like saying any more stuff except that later we learnt that MISS KON and MISS TSIEN was at the dinner!! we din even notice lar!! miss chong told us that when we were going back to school... and we got quite scared.. cus miss tsien arranged the burong piece you know!! so she know how many birds died. ahhhh.
